Adding another monitor
I used to have a Inspiron 5150 and hooked up an old monitor to it and my backlight went out after a few months. Was this due to lack of hardware or just bad luck? I just received a new Inspiron 6000 and was wondering whether or not it would be safe to add another monitor? Thanks.

External monitor has nothing to do with the backlight in your laptop. It's just variance unless it happens again, in which case you are a losing laptop player. Move down in stakes [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
