Default Two tough spots with 555

These were two very similar hands I played last session...both were tough situations. The villains in both hands were very aggressive with good hands as well as draws. In hand 1, I was planning on waiting for a safe turn card before putting in a raise. This was probably a very bad idea as I lost control of the hand and didn't know where I stood.

SECOND HAND:
Assuming the rest of the money goes in on the river you'd be getting about 4.5 - 1 and only need 4 - 1 to draw to your FH.

Assumiing he does not have a higher FH

Hand 1:

Could SB just be raising an AQ and have the ace of spades or something along those lines...meaning that I wouldnt fear the flush as of yet IMO.

In hand 1 i rereaise his ass the pot...if he pushes, it becomes player dependant and a math problem...if he calls, this usually is the A of spades....you have position here so lets use it....if the turn is a spade....when he checks to the raza when can take a free card to fill up...if it is a brick and he just called i prob push depending on stack sizes and pray he calls with the A.

An added benefit of reraising, although not so much at these stakes, you can get a player to possibly lay down a baby flush if he is weak.

I take it you are advocating a call here and not a raise? One thing that affected my decision here was the allin player coldcalling the bet and raise on the flop. I put him on a flush draw at the time.

On hand 1, I think you need to raise flop. Raise at least the pot. On the turn, I'm pushing. You've still got outs if you're behind, and the SB's bet there looks like he's trying to protect his hand from the flush (QJ or AQ.)

Hand 2 is tough. Looks like he made his flush. Still, you're getting 2.5-1, and if the board pairs he still has $135 left that you might get. And there's no guarantee that he has the flush, he could be overplaying top pair or have turned two pair. I think a call is in order.
