Two Preflop Decisions from the Small Blind
This table is very soft. Loose passive preflop becoming weak tight after the flop. Maybe one or two tricky players but all in all a great table.
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 8 handed) converter Preflop: Pedigree is SB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Pedigree ??? Re: Two Preflop Decisions from the Small Blind
Hand 1 is a pretty easy call see here as an example.
The second one is interesting. In the BB it's an easy call. Depending on my read, I'm calling here quite a bit due to the pot size. -Jaran |

Re: Two Preflop Decisions from the Small Blind
Hand #1. Call.
You are getting odds of 5:1 to hit your set, which you will probably need to do to win the hand. The chance of flopping a 3 is ~ 7.5:1. The occassions when you do hit your set, you should easily make up the additional bets required to make this call profitable in the long run. Hand #2. Call. This time you are getting odds of just over 6:1 to call. Ax(s) is basically a speculative hand, which you are hoping to flop the nut flush draw with. So provided you can see the flop relatively cheaply it is worth calling. Also you may win sometimes, when you spike your Ace. |
