If they are "standard clowns" then I expect a raise from UTG here almost always no matter what he has. And I also hope for Button to fold which I think will happen a fair % of the time. So heads up against a clown with a pair on a pretty decent board. Could be worse. /v

[/ QUOTE ]

The pot only has 3 fricken bets in it!! Getting bets in when ahead and saving bets when behind is SOOO much more important than having the button out in such a small pot. Save betting into the pfr for when there's a pot worth protecting.

id much rather bet out here than overcall the flop.

Have this HU with UI overcards is much more enticing than trying to beat 3 people with UI 6's with 2 overcards already out.

Is overcalling this flop standard? i really dont like it.

I have to apologize, Im a little toasted right now, when I linked the hand to ask what ppl thought in IRC...I misread it. I was wondering why ppl are saying c/f or c/c...I was like wtf.

Now that I see it, Im a moron, a drunk moron. So HU I would c/c this flop as u are getting raised w/ any playable hand and on the turn I would probably lead (this being HU and obviously depending on the player). As the hand was played...c/f the flop was brought up and I think it could be close w/ buttons flop call (the other option is c/c flop, and c/c or c/r turn depending on action and player).

I'd fold the damn flop. I hate an overcall.

Betting out isn't as bad as overcalling, but just let this one go...

Fold the flop. Donger gives good advice above.

I have some more points i'd like to add, by folding early in this hand I can pay more attention to another hand i'm playing, I can pay a little closer attention to indiana jones and the raders of the lost arc. Easy flop fold.

I think your river bet is for value from big aces, because people don't fold pairs on the river. But people who have A-h almost always have a brain explosion when they get donked on the river after paying for a free SD on the turn.

Well, there are two things I would do here. Check-fold (to a bet) is one. Betting-see-what-happens is one. /v

I hate the overcall on the flop. Just let it go, pot is small and you are slightly ahead or way behind.

If you're going to play this, I'd prefer to bet out on the flop.

But I'd probably let this go. You can't win every battle

If the button called the flop, I'd CR, because I can instantly fold to a 3-bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I am very surprised by this. It seems like a situation where we are very possibly behind (maybe even likely behind) and even if we are ahead our opponents have a ton of collective outs against us as well as the potential to raise us out of the pot on the turn even if we still have the best hand. This looks like an easy fold to me if button calls. I like your plan if button folds.

Can you explain your thinking here?

Thanks,
Cartman
