The crpto sites have a wide range of 6 max tables $20/$40, $30/$60, $50/$100, or various other limits in £'s and Euro

In the past I have looked in and Ive seen as bad a plays as Ive seen at any limit.

Obviously I dont play these limits, Im just letting you know they are available and with the poker rooms fed by casinos you get random gamblers and not so good poker players.

As the others have said party 30-60 might not be the best choise money wise. If you 4-table 10-20 6 max at 2 bb/100 it roughly equals 4-tabling 30-60 10 max at 1 bb/100 but with much heavier swings. But if you're 1.5 at 30-60, or if you play 6 tables or if you want to improve your game/see how you do against those "fish guys" etc... This is what I have heard to. But also, those that are or have been playing regulary at higher limits thought it made them better pokerplayers.

Grinding at 10/20 is actually pretty boring so Im thinking about 2 things. Move up and look for FL SH tables. Or start to play NL. I actually think playing NL would be best for my overall game. Im not looking for becoming extremly good at this, but lets say I could do $80/h or something like that. Would make me much less bored. My biggest enemy is boredom. Makes me lose $ because I cant focus. Even if I want to focus, I cant.

I took up NL too when I was getting bored with limit, and trust me, you don't need to be extremely good at it to make some decent money playing. I lurked the mid-high PL & NL forum for a while and that was all it took to start winning right away at $400 NL. The opposition is extremely weak for the most part. It's fun to play and great for a change of pace.

I think rakeback is a big concern for moving to a different site

Thank you. Another friend also a bit bored playing FL SH started to play sitandgoes $200NL.

Do you feel that your FL game got better after playing more NL?

I don't know if playing NL directly improved my FL game, but I was getting a bit bored and starting to get into more marginal situations and overplaying hands and that sort of thing, so taking a break and learning a new game definitely led to me playing better when I came back. You do have to play somewhat more conservatively overall in NL, so maybe that did help.

As for the hourly rate, I didn't play enough to really get a good idea of a long term rate there, but for the couple weeks where NL was all I played I was actually making more than I was at FL. I had a real nice run. Then finally my hot streak ended, I had a couple days of losing, so I went back to limit and felt good playing it again.

I think for the best players, 30-60 can be a substantial increase in income over 10-20 or 20-40. However, especially with the restricted tables, the games seem much tougher, and for many people they simply aren't a good option. If you do play 30-60, your table selection must be very good.

As far as NL goes, have dabbled a little bit in it for a break from the limit grind, i can tell you that the $600 level is probably the best place for decent players, the jump to $1,000 is a bit tougher. I think you will enjoy the break from limit, but i'll bet most who make a permanent switch will miss many aspects of limit.
