Default (30+3) TT on a monotone undercard flop vs. 8-tabler

History on LilWinston44: he was a regular 4 (or 8?) tabler on Eurobet, and I'm seeing him on Party now. He plays the same as most of us: tight early and pushbot late game. Interesting hand I believe.

NL Texas Hold'em $30 Buy-in + $3 Entry Fee Level:2 Blinds(15/30)
Table Table 67535 (Real Money)

Hero calls [30].

Garlord calls [30].
grizwald05 folds.
prossylord folds.
Xeon99 folds.

stump23 checks.
** Dealing Flop ** [ 3h, 7h, 2h ]
DTDOC checks.

lilwinston44 raises [250].

What do you put him on? I initially put him on a set, but at the time, I thought he *might* make the same play with a high heart. Most people slowplay sets, so he might just be nervous with a monotone flop. Should I eliminate a play with a large heart because most 8-tablers would flat-call or fold here?

Garlord folds.
DTDOC folds.
stump23 folds.
hero calls [150].
** Dealing Turn ** [ Jc ]
hero checks.
lilwinston44 bets [250].
hero is all-In [471]
lilwinston44 is all-In [215]

Oops.

Since you both limped into the pot, it's tough to put him on any particular hand. Some players will make that raise with a pair and a high flush draw. Against an 8-tabler, I would fold to the raise on the flop.

I don't see any hand that you are very far ahead of that would make that raise on the flop. However, I think your commentary may have prejudiced me.

i fold when he raises, i think occasionally he'll have 88 or 99 here, but usually a set and you don't want to go up against a big heart and other over or even made flush at all

OK, so give me a reasonable hand that he might limp in from that position and make that raise from on the flop that you beat. I don't really see one. I think about the best you can hope for there is A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Jx. And that's about 50-50 against your hand.

Personally, I either fold to the raise on the flop or check-fold the flop. You're in a tough position and will be a race at best against any hand that will call that 100 bet and will likely be behind any hand that will raise that flop.

What I was going to do was call his flop raise, then push a blank turn since he wouldn't have odds to call with a high heart (yeah I dunno why I suddenly C/Red).

Anyway, I shouldn't even have gotten to the turn. I should have just check/folded this flop. Betting is semi-ok, but I should have turbo-mucked to his raise since it's a set way too often or some combo of a pair/overcards + flush draw that would be a favorite vs. me.
