Default JJ early in a $22

Third hand, relevant stacks are all slightly less than starting levels.

MP3 open limps

Button raises to 55. My note on the button says he's not very good at the poker.

I call in the SB with JJ

Blinds fold, and MP3 calls for 40 more.

Pot = 180
Flop: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, MP3 bets 60, Button calls 60, I raise to 225, MP3 calls quickly, Button folds.

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Comments on the pf and flop play? What's the plan on the turn?

thats a sticky icky turn card...i'd have avoided it by doing the following:

raise huge PF...pot that sucker

dump the rest in on the flop

this makes the turn much easier to play

Yah, it's definitely easier, but I just don't like pushing JJ that hard preflop out of position this early.

After MP3s smallish flop bet and the very quick call of my c/r, my read was strong that he was on a flush draw. My dilemma on the turn was whether or not there was any way to figure out if he had the nut flush draw. As you said, a icky sticky situation with a large pot ~700, 500 left, and a hand I want to believe is still good.

I usually avoid that turn situation with a re-raise all in on the flop."If you've got my hand beat good luck to you sir"! - Mike Sexton

I don't think you should feel too bad about re-raising a donk with JJ preflop.

If you think the hand is good I suggest pushing the turn.

Preflop, why are you playing the $22s?

Because I run very bad at the $55s

I'm going to crush (ok, beat?) the $22s till June rakeback shows up, then crush (OK, not lose 35 buyins?) the $55s again.
