you have to slap your friend around for that one. probably wrong to ask this in the internet forum....but anyone have suggestions for what to say when someone at the B&M table asks what you do for a living (if indeed you are playing poker full-time)?? i guess you can just make something up.....but make sure any friends who come along with you are clued-in as well. also.... i know what monthly-nut means...i was just curious as to the derivation of the term, if anyone has any insight.

Call me a grinder
Actually I prefer the term grinder. When I start thinking anymore I start trying fancy plays against players that don't realize it and they river me to death. I try to play the math completely and it makes money on a schedule around my job and for my original $100 investment I know have over $1100. I don't make a great hourly rate compared to my job but I enjoy playing and make money. That's all I really want right now. As I move up and play against better players maybe someday I'll become a player.

I am assuming that remark was meant disrespectfully. Yes I did watch Rounders and I enjoyed it. But I did not learn to play poker from it anymore than I make WPT a weekly study session. If by expressing my opinion I upset you in some way, I am sorry.
