Default Places to eat in Vegas

Where are the best places to eat in Vegas? I've got coupons for $5 off the Rio's "Carnival World Buffet" and $10 to their "Seafood Village Buffet," but I don't know what the difference is or which buffets are any good. I'm told the Bellagio's is fantastic, but it's expensive.

I've also heard there's a really good Thai restaurant out there, but I don't know the name. Any advice is appreciated.

I think the buffet at the Mandalay Bay is good food for its price point. Bally's & Flamingo were both terrible, IMO.

The Rio's seafood buffet is supposed to be really excellent, but the last time I was there the queue must have been about an hour - it was unbelieveable!

My personal favourite is RumJungle at the Mandalay.

Enjoy!

Bellagio & Paris buffets are terrific. Also, this Cuban restaurant has very good food and is inexpensive.

No, haven't tried the paella. I've eaten there about 4 times though and everything I've had has been very good.

I really like the Prime Rib Loft at The Orleans. The restaurant is very nice, the servicee is good, the food is great, and the prices are great too.

I think a complete Prime Rib dinner is like $12 bucks. ($18 for the big boy cut) It's the same price as some cheap coffee shop, but it's so much better.

The have their own butcher in house, adn the age teh meat for 21 on site, just like the high priced prime rib joints.

If you go on Friday or Saturday, you should call for reservations because the wait list can get pretty long.

I believe you're refering to Lotus of Siam, which many serious diners consider one of the finest Thai restaurants in the country. It's not near the Strip though.

Personally, I recommend Bouchon at the Venetian. They have stellar bistro food, and the space is a fine retreat after copious hours at the tables. The service staff handles situations like guests setting their menus on fire with grace.
