Default Mistake by overcalling

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, 4 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises, Button folds, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: (11 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

River: (14 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17 BB

Results in white below:
SB has 2h 8h (flush, king high).
BB has 8c 8s (one pair, eights).
Hero has Qd Ah (one pair, queens).
Outcome: SB wins 17 BB.

I usually don't overcall but these two were playing too loose for their own good (didn't jot their numbers down unfortunately). Anyhow, release this on the turn, right?

I'd play it the way you did.

Holding the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] it would have been terrible to fold the turn.

You wouldn't really fold the nut flush draw getting pot odds of 13:1 would you? I mean you have 11 good outs (nine hearts and two queens). I play it like you.

Even a raise by you on the turn would see you getting odds of 7:1 (i.e. +EV) - assuming no reraise. Worth considering.

Looks fine to me.

P.S. This hand belongs in microlimits.
