<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $10</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $16</font>, BB calls $6.

River: ($46) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $161.9 (All-In)</font>, BB folds.

Default Re: Overbet Quads?

I'd think by him just calling the raise on the turn says 'whoa i better slow down one second he probably has that 7, that's why he just called on the flop.' but he definitely wasn't going anywhere since he called the rr on the turn, toss a $35-40 bet on the river is what I'm thinking. I don't know sometimes an overbet works but people are so traumatized of those kind of beats they're not willing to put down all their money unless they got a specific read on you/likewise you probably need a decent read to put him all in.

I don't like the 1/2pot bet on the flop. The board is draw heavy, and you have a hand that isn't easy to get away from. Charge any draws full price.

On the turn/river I would probably just bet pot twice or 2/3pot twice. Keep it simple, stupid.
