Default Re: Mandatory raise on 5th?

I would not say its mandatory. If the Q is a smart player, he'd fold the river unimproved and raise you if he makes a boat. -EV. If he's married to his hand and will call a river bet, then it makes more sense. Even then i'm tempted to flat call given that the A already called and might suckout on you with a straight or flush. If the low is behind you, i'd definetly raise representing 4low and a scare pair trying to kick out the legitmiate low or alternatively a small two pair /w a low draw trying to get HU with an overpair.

In this lecture, I'll be sharing grb137's principle of regarding...

just kidding.

Hells yes you raise. The check around on 4th tells me that everyone's got junk. The guy between you and the open bytches is likely drawing low. You gotta charge maximally for the draw. If he hits, you'll likely be splitting the pot with him, in which case you want Mr. Qs to fund the pot as much as possible. If the low misses, you'll have built a nice pot for you to scoop. Unless seat 4 is a complete retard, there's no reason to think he's got another queen in the hole.

I wouldn't say mandatory, the pot is really small and you have a monster. I would flat call 5th with the hope QQ will bet again on 6th and thus build up a better pot. But, why didn't you raise 6th? Or the river? You definately lost value playing this passive.
