I ate a lot of paint--- er, uh, wall candy as a child. For those of us with obvious flaws, can you explain exactly what a skycam is?

At a lot of sporting events, they use a network of wires to suspend a camera over the playing field. When you see those video game style shots in football games where the camera is directly behind the line of scrimmage, that's a SkyCam.

I guess what WSOP will do is set up a skycam network over the gaming arena, allowing them to get a camera to any table in a hurry rather than having to run guys around with cameras from table to table?

Otherwise, it'll just provide another angle to see tables from directly overhead, which I can't imagine will add much other than make it feel like you're watching an online poker game?

Interesting idea, anyway. Could be good.

I guess it would also make it easier to get a view of stuff at the outer tables in the Rio without cameramen having to plow through the crowd in order to catch a significant hand for TV.
