Default What a stupid hand (Stars 20+2 180 person SnG FT)

I played this hand really, really, really poorly. I'm posting this partly as a form of self-flagellation, but also because I'd like to find a better way to play this hand.

I've been sitting at Villain's table since the t200/t400 blind level. I have seen him raise exactly 14 times before this hand. 13 times it has been for 3xBB or all-in. Once he minraised from CO (at t1000/t2000 level), and folded to a t25000 push from the button (the tightest player at the table). This orbit he has raised to 3xBB twice before this hand (unusual for him).

Basically, I'm confused by his minraise, I have a marginal hand but one that is good enough to see the flop with getting better than 3:1 -- if he bet 3xBB i'd either push or fold ... but a minraise? How should I play this, especially from the turn onwards? I had planned to bet t6000 on any non-ace river, a little more if my hand improved. I gave the hand away by checking the river. Comments on all streets appreciated.

(btw, this is the first time all tournament that i've minbet anything, if that matters at all)

You "don't play *no* community card holdem?"
"lemme guess," apparently, you don't put *no* thought into your writings, either. What was the purpose of saying this?

OP, unless it's just me, I can't see any board cards.

I hate this spot with every bone in my body. Basicly it goes against my religion to fold to a minraise, but it might still be the smart thing to do.

I guess you have to decide preflop if the minraise means monster or weakness. If you think it means monster I fold, because it means you can't continue on the flop with just top pair, and putting 10% of your stack in hoping to hit top pair or better is not something I like.

If it means weakness push preflop.

Thats a pussy bet on the turn. Either tell him you have the T with a real bet or just check.

Oh, I think you're about to tell him what it is yourself.

A real bet commits me to get all-in, does it not? What do you think -- how likely is my hand to be good here? I agree that the minbet is stupid ... but I don't really want to take a big stand with this hand, and I don't really want to check. A few of my (probably stupid) reasons for the minbet were:

(1) If I'm ahead, I don't want to let him draw out for free. Assuming he has a lone ace overcard or a low pair or a gutshot, then I deny him proper pot odds to make the call.
(2) If I'm ahead, it hopefully confuses him as much as I was confused by his minbet, and may deter him from bluffing (I don't remember seeing him raise a small bet without a hand up to this point).
(3) If I'm behind, I either find out now or keep him from setting a higher price.

I had planned to make another small river bet if no ace fell. As it is, I think my worst play was on the river, where I checked -- if I minbet the turn I should at least throw out a small bet on the river with the plan of folding to a raise.
