did i play this right, any comments? goddamnit i'm pissed off, little douche hit his 3-outer. just can't take the $50 in one hand swings and party $50 6max seems to have a lot of rocks nowadays. 3/6 6max with rakeback beckons. the open raiser was a maniac and went all in on each hand, claimed to have just won $900 at blackjack so he didn't care:

You got all your money in as a huge favorite. That's all you can do in NL. If you can't get used to 3 and 4 outers taking your stack, then you are correct to re-evaluate whether NL is right for you. I think after you calm down you will see that your play here was optimal.

You got all the money in with the best hand and one player drawing to 3 outs...what do you feel you did wrong?

You smooth call, then what, check fold the flop? OK that's a plan, but if you were to move all in on the flop with the A on board...then you have something to question.

You had him drawing to three outs when the money went in, of coure you played this right. this should be in BBV. You're right, if you (or your bankroll) can't take the short-term variance in NL, go back to LHE.

However, with 4 allins preflop, figure 3 pocket pairs and another guy with AK - the AK is 3:1 to hit his 3 outs, and both pocket pairs are 5:1 to hit a set. You aren't going to win a pot this big unimproved, but when you DO win it, its massive.

You are well ahead equity wise, which is all that matters in poker.

oh and party 50NL 6 max is one of the juciest games on the net, nowhere close to rockish. Buddy list this player and reload.
