Default Bay 101 mid limits

Hey guys,

I used to be a regular at Bay 101 5-6 years ago, when the highest game was 30/60. I understand there are higher games these days. Can anyone give me an overview of the types of limit games (15/30+) that are going these days on a regular basis? I may find myself in the bay area for a few days in the near future.

Thanks.

2/4, 3/6, 6/12, 8/16, 20/40, 40/80, 80/160

play the 20 a lot over the last year... very beatable game.

also have played the 8 a few times... just about every pot has 6 people talking a flop for 3 bets.

youll love it there.

Thanks, rt1.

Do you know how many tables of 20/40 & 40/80 are typically going (on, say, weekends)?

Poker Wiki

This doesn't say much about Bay 101, but it often has good information about other rooms you might one day want to visit.

I was there this summer and it looked like 3-4 20 games, 2-3 40 games and 1-2 80 games on like a Wed night and like a Sunday night.

I was just there today, and they had about 5-6 20/40s going, 2 40/80 games and one full 80/160 game. I was there from 12:30pm-4:30pm. Room was quite full and the waitlist for some of the games was very long (20+ deep for 2/4 and 3/6 at various times). I waited about 25 minutes to get into a 6/12 game. They also had one table of 4/8 omaha going, plus a full table of stud (unknown limit).

I was there at the same time, from about 12:15 until 1 or so when I gave up. I was still about 8th on the list for the 20 game at the time, and even if they'd called me there wouldn't have been time to play. There were two 20 games and two 40s when I left; they'd tried to get an 80 going (and the list was certainly long enough) but it never got started.

The 80 game got going about the time I sat (~1:00) after the 3rd attempt to get it running, but I don't think it lasted to long. At about 3:00, they broke a 6/12 game and squeezed everyone in 10-handed, and also removed a pan table. They opened 2 more 20s shortly after IIRC. I was railbirding a 20 game after I cashed out for about 15 minutes and they were playing 7 handed most of that time.

Thanks everyone for the info. Looks like the place has come a long way from the days of yore when a single 30/60 table and maybe two 15/30 tables was the norm. I wonder if I'd recognize any of the players any more. The mid limit player base used to be ~50% Vietnamese. There was also this regular named Sam who used to quote everything in Turkish Lira. I wonder if he still lives with his mom.
