I'm in. I'd prefer Stars or UB. I think best of 3 or a 1 rebuy is the best way, HU is simply too high variance for a one buyin freezeout to really mean anything. I also like the group of 4 round robin, we have top 2 move into a winners bracket, maybe bottom 2 go into a losers bracket?

With respect to sites, I'd definitely prefer a site that doesn't screw up where the blinds go in HU. Having the big blind on the button as you do at Party (if you're HU at a 6-max table for example) sucks hardcore. The only site I'm sure has the correct structure in cash games is UB but there may be others.

Excellent point. I also happen to have $ at UB so that pushes my vote to UB.

I'm in, if it's not too late.

Stars also seems to have the correct button = Small Blind structure, I believe (on the 0.01/0.02 NL 1-on-1 cash tables, as far as I have checked)

dave.

edit: I vote stars - no UB account for me yet.

Actually, does it matter what site we play on? As long as each pair can find a site in common, it shouldn't matter what site people play at (assuming we do it as a cash game and not a tournament-- if its a tournament, finding sites with the exact same blind structure might be tough).

No I guess it doesn't matter (as long as it has the correct blind/button structure). But if there needs to be one common denominator, I just don't want it to be Stars because I dont have an acct and I'm a lazy bastard.

i dont see why what site any match is played on makes any difference. i have money in neteller so im super flexible. the only thing we need to decide on as a group is the setup of the tourney. i think it could work anyway we play it, but im interested in how others want to this. the options at this time are -single elimination w/1rebuy
best of 3
round robin
double elimination
if there is no concensus on this i will make an appropriate decision sometime tomarrow before i set it all up...

ps- only problem at ub is the fact that they do not have 1on1 .01/.02 tables.

nope

they have heads-up play money tables, but I think you only have a chance of finding an open one in off-peak times
