guys who flush urinals before going

I occasionally see guys walk up to urinals and autoflush before they piss. why do they do this? what could possibly be in the urinal that they wouldn't piss on? how does this enhance there urination experience?

(I've never asked an auto-flusher in the bathroom because I believe this would violate bathroom etiquette.)

You could probably ask when you were both at the sink, but I don't think I'd ask anyway.

I ALWAYS flush about half-way through, whether standing at a urinal or standing at a toilet. I have no idea why I do this, and it oftens leads to the flush being finished before I am finished. And I have to flush again.

It may be a remnant from when I was younger and mortified at the thought of someone outside the bathroom being able to hear me tinkle. I don't care now, but I still do it.

Uh, I preflush if it's full of somone else's piss.

Sometimes when I have to take a dump in a public restroom, I give a curtesy flush halfway through.

What these people don't realize is that this practice actually gets tiny particles of someone else's piss all over them. That's why I personally don't say anything.

heh, well pre-flush is still a tool maneuver. you probably look even more strange trying to stand clear.

So to summarize, you'd rather have large volumes of someone else's piss on you than look like a tool.

There are some posters here who will find this mutually beneficial if you so desire.
