hmmm, if your gonna raise I like a bet more like $80 total

Does he bluff a lot on the turn and river? Calling flop and turn and evaluting river might be an option

No draws are out really, except some bizarre straight draw. Why not call and let him keep firing at you?

Just calling PF is also an option. Again, JJ vs the tricky ones is not so great.

It's one line, but is very expensive the times he has an A or KK/QQ.

So you fold to a reraise then you mean? What if he calls your raise? I am just thinking a big pot here is bad.

Maybe you could call the flop, fold to a big turn bet?

Yes, the raise is to find out where I stand, with the extra bonus that it will probably fold out some hands that beat me KK/QQ. I am afraid he will start firing big with any 2 if I show weakness. I don't know this though.

how large of a bet are you calling on the river if the turn is checked through?

i'm not fond of a flop raise versus LAGs as many will make the decision harder for me on later streets. i prefer to flat call the flop and then raise if he bets smallish again on the turn and then try to take a free showdown. if he leads the river i will fold maybe 8 times in 10 unless offered very generous odds. if i had a better read on his tendencies at the river against passive opponents then i may decide to call a relatively larger turn bet.
