Re: I knew party poker blackjack would be the end of me...
What's done is done. The first thing you need to do is let it go because you've punished yourself enough already. The next step is to go out tomorrow and do something that has nothing to do with gambling of any kind. Go see a movie or something. On Monday, I'd start to make a plan about how to rebuild your BR. Find some bonuses so that even if you hit a down swing things won't be that bad. Then go and just play. The most important thing is that you learn a lesson from this. Internet blackjack=bad especially for you. Commit yourself to not doing it again not even a little.

here's a 2p2 thread that might help you remove BJ from your PP screen. this just addresses a symptom if indeed you have a problem but it will certainly help if BJ is just this insidious, alluring ring of power that you can't help putting on your finger.

Re: I knew party poker blackjack would be the end of me...
Party's blackjack is probably bad for the 2+2 player, considering that most people who are going to be playing blackjack are going to be the fish we get our money from. I'm sure thousands and thousands of fish will go prematurely broke from blackjack before they can give us their money, and this will take a serious toll on the average 2+2er's profitability.

Re: I knew party poker blackjack would be the end of me...
anybody who saw me play at vegas last time knows how great i am at blackjack.
what can i say? gambling is fun.. and it can remain fun as long as you maintain some type of self control... it looks like you lost this self control and learned this lesson the hardway. just learn from your mistakes.. for some people some lessons are more expensive then others. |
