I think it's 6 black chips.

That makes it:
8 $25 chips = $400
6 $100 chips = $600
4 $500 chips = $2000
2 $1000 chips = $2000
1 $5000 chip = $5000

Can anyone explain to me the logic behind chip allocations? I have nearly no expereince with live tournament play, and my first impression is that such a small number of chips would be cumbersome. That 5k chip seems silly too. Given a choice, wouldnt you make change for that clunker ASAP?

it used to be 8,8,6,6 corresponding to $25, $100, $500 and $1000 respectively... but with the field as big as it is... they might not have enough chips to go around and threw in some $5000 chips right off the bat.
