Is $300 even enough for the 100-max?

the 2/5nl game is much much better than the 1/2nl. the 1/2nl game will give you a headache. the high rake really makes you conform to a certain tight style, and it can drive you mad.

i havent really seen the action in those games be all that loose lately. i rarely play in it, but every time i do its a total rock garden.

if the 2/5nl game is open, then definitely play in that. its alot more fun, and more profitable.

For one night? Yeah. No reasonable player should go through 3 buy-ins in that game in one night unless they get some really, really bad all-in beats.

I'd suggest getting onto the 2/5NL list if you get up some, freeroll with your profit.

And since you're going friday, get there as early as possible. The wait times explode after dinner. And you can call ahead and get on the list while you're driving.

Yeah, I ran into waits last time I was up there (Saturday, about 5 PM) - took a little over an hour to get a seat at 3/6. I plan to arrive on Friday no later than like 2 or 3. Should give me enough time to check in, grab some food, and unwind a bit before the poker room gets too crazy.

Is anyone else planning to be there on Fri/Sat? Let me know and I'll say hi.

I'll be there Saturday afternoon... 1/2 or 2/5 NL. I didn't bring my Cornell hat home on break -- so I'll probably look like most of the other 20 year olds in the cardroom, except that I'll have a strange pirate figurine protecting my cards. Give a hey.

Ok, I'll be there in a really loud Hawaiian shirt. I look like basically every other white kid in the world other than that.

I'll make some reference to brown trout or something like that.
