Default Stupid laydown?

Villian is weak tight.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: (3.70 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 6.70 BB

On the surface this looks real bad. And maybe it is in reality too?

A better question: Why bet the flop?

Answer: You want to fold out worse hands and get trapped or raised by better hands.

you dont think weak-tights would call down w/ QQ/JJ? checking the flop is interesting, maybe even standard and betting is a leak, but in the midst of autopiloting i bet the flop and call down if raised. is this a leak?

i dont mind the turn fold either. definitly not terrible.

99/KK/AA/AK Happens often to check the turn whenever they hit a bot... Not sure I would have been able to lay it down tho.. :/
