Default Kem Impressions

Anybody use Kem cards? If so, do you think they are worth the extra expense? Any feedback appreciated.

Well worth the extra price. My family plays a lot of cards (not poker, largely pinnochle and canasta). We used to burn through decks of bicycle cards at an astonishing rate. 3 years ago I got everyone in my family (parents, in-laws, siblings, etc.) Kem cards. Literally EVERYONE loves them except for my father in-law (because they stay too slippery and are, therefore, too hard to shuffle).

I would suspect that they are either equal to or cheaper than standard bicycle cards because they last so much longer.

Just as an aside, I bought some in a local game store and then later found that I could get them significantly cheaper on ebay.

It looks like you can get them for around $20 for 2 decks on Ebay. Is this a good price? Anybody have a good source that they've used? Doesn't have to be the cheapest but realiable and good to deal with and a reasonable price.

I think I paid $30 bucks for 2 decks in the store (Games by James at the Mall of America). As with all ebay auctions, watch the shipping costs. $20 - $25 (including shipping) would seem pretty good.

I have a setup of KEM cards; I'm not sure what site I picked them up on but it was for about $20. I think that it was a great investment. It very difficult to put a fold in them(unless you really try) and also when they begin to stick together I just spend 10 mins giving them a quick bath.
