I have a video file, but I want the sound as an Mp3
I have some videos of dave playing some stuff live, which I watch on my computer. but, I want to isolate the sound part of it and play that on my iPod.
is there a program out there that can do this electronically, like reverse engineer the file or something and isolate just the sound portion of it? I could always put a mic next to my speaker and record it that way, but the quality would be TERRIBLE. |

Re: I have a video file, but I want the sound as an Mp3
What kind of video file is it? I did it the other day.
Google "Convert (video type) to MP3" and something will come up. Most offer 2 minutes per file free, but you have to pay like $20 for the complete thing. And they are REALLY easy to use. |

if quicktime can run it, just export it as an mp3 or aac and it will strip the video off automatically... although that may require quicktime pro...

You didn't say what format the video was in, some are harder than others.
Do a search for "demux". That is the process of splitting the video and audio. |
