Call or fold BB hand late
Blinds 300/600, 50 ante, you have 3,000 chips before posting the BB. Average chip count is aprox. 6,600. Blinds will go up again before your next BB.
10 Players remaining, top 5 get paid. Two 5 handed tables in play. Folded to the button who goes all in for an additional 1,200. Button is a decent player that doesn't have the capacity to make this move with junk. Could hold any PP, any A, any 2 broadway. Small chance he has medium suited connectors. You hold 10d 6h. Call or fold and why? Thanks for the help. |

Re: Call or fold BB hand late
If I'm understanding this right, button had 1800 chips after the ante. So his M is less than 2 - he's desperate, and if he's a decent player he could definitely have any 2 card here. Once he bets, the pot has 2,350 chips and you only need to put in 600 to call. This is the easiest call in the world, no matter what cards you're holding.

Re: Call or fold BB hand late
aditional 1200... so it's 1200 to win 2700.... probably not good enough w/ T4o...
fold here but push first hand you open. |

Re: Call or fold BB hand late
Oops...missed the 'additional'. Although I still think with an M<2 button could have literally anything, and a call would be reasonable given the pot odds.

Ah, but it's T6o... a relative monster compared to T4o...
I feel like this is a question for pokerstove, not for me. |

Ah, but it's T6o... a relative monster compared to T4o... I feel like this is a question for pokerstove, not for me. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I agree... it's close, since I suspect you're mostly around 30%-- and you're getting better than 2.5:1 to call if my math is correct. (3200 in pot if there are 10 players; 1200 to call). So, I don't know. Call, probably. Or if you're more comfortable waiting to make a move or two, fold. Take whatever factors you feel are important into account. |
