Re: Level 3, getting low stacked -- AQo. Let\'s play this one out.
I hate this spot. Will blinds increase to 50/100 before you post or are there enough hands so that you'll post 50 in BB and 25 in SB?
If you will have to post 50/100 blinds in the coming blinds, I probably would just push here. If there are still several 25/50 hands left, I raise to 125. |

Raise T150 is a good place to start and then see how the action goes & the texture of the flop.

Damn, this spot sucks and it seems to be a fairly common one for me. I definately raise here, usually to 150, and hope to take down the blinds or get it heads up. From there it depends on the flop, but if I get only one caller, I'm pushing a lot of flops.

I hate pushing here; whether the blinds are about to go up or not, you're still risking 600+ to get 75. Raising to 125 also seems to be begging for a call I don't really want, or a reraise that would be a really awkward number for me (probably to 300-400). I'd raise to 175, which seems quite a lot more likely to just take the pot uncontested, gives me a bit more assurance that any calls I do get are from serious hands, and represents more strength, making it easier to take the pot on the flop if I should need to. Edit: removed section I thought on second thought was idiotic |
