Default 22-44 EP Party 0.5/1.0 Poll

Ok, so the consensus of the guys with lots of posts here is that limping with 22-44 in Early Position is clear always in Party 0.5/1.0. So let's see your stats.

PLEASE READ: Only fill out this poll if you
A) Play any of the hands 22 through 44 in Early Position (limp or raise)
B) Have more than 10,000 hands total
C) Play Party or Party skin 0.5/1.0

This is in the name of science and really not to prove a point either way. If 22-44 are profitable UTG on Party 0.5/1.0 I want to see the numbers so that I can add it.

Here's the procedure.
1)So open up poker tracker.
2)Do a filter and select specific hands, then select 22, 33 and 44 only. Then choose More than or Equal to 5 off the button (just a little below the Select Specific HAnds... button)
3)If your VPIP is greater than 0% for these hands and the number of total times you've had it is greater than say 20, report your win rate in BB/Hand.

I can't vote, b/c I play 2/4. I changed my philosophy about the low PPs after I left .5/1, so my PT stats are no good.

But at 2/4, I'm .32/100 over 10k hands. This seems a high to me, so maybe I was running hot.

This is one of the better polls I have seen in a while. I like what you are doing here.

Of course individual results will be skewed since even those of us with 10k+ hands will have a small enough sample for such a subset to be representative (though in fairness I'm sure you realize this).

My results are skewed by 22, which has done really poorly (-.83). I am break even with 33 and .24 up with 44 under the conditions you established.

Again, nice poll.

So limping 22 UTG in 2-4 is standard for? Or just at the right tables? I think with a decent table selection 22 is limpable, but still there are plenty of 2-4 tables that I would not limp them in.

Woohoo first reply with a + winrate. Had 22-44 79 times in EP out of 15,123. BB/hand for me is 0.04 I win with these 15% of the time. I think that number is almost right where it should be, considering that you'll hit your set 12% of the flops you see.

Didn't vote because I didn't ever play much $0.50/$1.00, but I can share my $1/$2 numbers (I excluded hands played from the blinds which I think is necessary since I believe the SB is considered 8 OTB?):

+0.80 for 44 over 24 hands
+1.76 for 33 over 10 hands
+0.82 for 22 over 19 hands

Very small sample size, but about the number of occurrences I'd expect for each hand in only three specific positions over ~15K total hands (Who do I contact at Party about my lack of pocket 33s? Not fair! ).

I'm not a table picking guru, but I certainly limp these hands at $2/$4 all the time absent a specific table read. I looked at my $2/$4 numbers too, and both 44 and 33 are profitable but 22 is not. (Overall is slightly negative -0.06). Of course, I only have about 10 instances of each hand at 2/4.

My numbers do change if I check the box "Not a Blind" versus "Doesn't Matter" in the left hand column of the filter page. If you're looking for only EP plays, you definitely need to check the "Not a Blind" box too.

Thanks Greg J.

Yes, the sample size sucks butt.... in addition, some peoples votes should be more heavily weighted than others based on sample size. But alas, there's no way to do this with the current state of polling software here.

However, they should be that "skewed"... just all over the damn place.

I specifically made it 5 or more OTB and 22-44 to increase the numbers (and also to increase the confidence that 22 is not playable 7 OTB if the poll turns out to show that none of these are profitable in EP).

Again, this isn't conclusive, just evidence that I want.
