Default No Reads + Missed Flop = :Sad Face:

6-Max Table at Party

Folded to me in CO Ace of hearts and Queen of diamonds. Button coldcalls, SB folds, BB calls.

The flop was K65 with two clubs. Checked to me and I bet, Button folds, BB calls.

The turn was the 8 of clubs and BB checks.

Now I have to decide whether I should check or bet. The size of the pot is 4 Big Bets. I don't like my chances of folding him one in 4 times. If he called the flop with a flush draw he just got there. If he called with 87 he just paired up and won't fold to a turn bet. If he called with a 6 or a 5 he's probably going to showdown. All these observations led me to check.

The river was the 7 of spades and I folded to a bet I couldn't call.

Good turn check?

nh sir. many will bet this river w/ any 2 that they called the flop wtich. but i still think it's a good fold considering our estimation of his flop calling range and the turn/river bards.

Ooooh lol.

Glad to know I made the right decision. Sometimes it feels like I'm checking behind on the turn too much and letting villain catch/bluff.

I think I autobet the turn too much. I assume that the loose players call the flop with anything and will give up on the turn. I think they are aware that many players continuation bet with air a lot, so tehy call to prevent getting bluffed.

I don't have too many hands yet, but it feels like a leak. I often get raised or called and have to make crappy decisions. During long runs of no cards I'm just bleeding, since I never show good hands and no one ever believes that I have anything. I'm trying to tune this strategy to fit my table image more. When I'm running hot I'm more apt to make riskier stabs at pots.

Lately, I've also concentrated on taking more notes related to flop peeling tendencies, so as to more correctly guess whether they'll fold to a turn bet. A typical note might say "peels flop w/only 1 over". If I'm against that guy, I'll fire on a non-overcard turn. Etc, etc.
