Default PLO 400 - difficult turn situation

PLO 2/4, max buyin $400

- BB sitting in seat 1 with $244.48
- UTG sitting in seat 2 with $1357.20
- MP1 sitting in seat 3 with $859.00
- MP2 sitting in seat 4 with $1137.10
- BlueBear sitting in seat 5 with $459.60 [Dealer]
- SB sitting in seat 6 with $394.00

SB posted the small blind - $2.00
BB posted the big blind - $4.00

** Dealt BlueBear: 3 of Clubs, 5 of Hearts, 9 of Clubs, 9 of Diamonds

UTG folded
MP1 called - $4.00
MP2 called - $4.00
BlueBear called - $4.00
SB called - $4.00
BB checked

** Flop: 4 of Hearts, 6 of Spades, 9 of Spades ($20)

I flopped the top set on a very dangerous board, guess I'll have to pump the chips in.

SB checked
BB checked
MP1 bet - $12.00
MP2 called - $12.00
BlueBear raised - $68.00
SB folded
BB folded
MP1 called - $68.00
MP2 called - $68.00

** Turn: 7 of Clubs ($224)

MP1 checked
MP2 checked
BlueBear ???

A dangerous card that completes a lower straight for me. Against two opponents who called my max bet, MP1 or MP2 could possibly be playing ten-7-8-x suited, should I fire off another shot or take the free card? Pot is $224 and I have $387 left. Opponents are capable of trapping/check-raising with the top straight.

Against good players I would be more inclined to bet. Against bad players I would be more inclined to check.

A free cards seems pretty awful here. Plus if you check the turn are you going to just fold the river if a blank comes?

Pot it.

Since you probably can't get your stack in here, you are a dog to some pretty common rundowns, and there are not many blanks to come off have you considered smooth calling here? That keeps you out of the difficult turn decision and lets you set your opponents in when you have a nice overlay.

You can't smoothcall because you are on the button. It has been checked to you and you cannot let someone draw to a flush or higher straight for free.
