Default Begging by email

I just got this email, I have crossed out his name to protect his identity (giving him the benefit of the doubt). Did anyone else here get this?.....

[ QUOTE ]
I got your email on the 2+2 forums and wanted to ask you something. I just started to play online about two days ago and thought I would try my luck so I put 50 bucks in. I just lost my last dollar and have nothing but a few cents left in my account. The thing that sucks is I am only 4 points away from releasing the 10 dollars from my bonus account. I am emailing you to ask you if you would be willing to do me a huge favor. I am wondering if you would transfer me 5 dollars into my account on paradise poker (XXXXXXXXXXX) and i will just put up the blinds and fold so that I can get the $10 bonus then I will send you $6 back for doing the good deed for me. Please think about it and let me know. If you want to Instant Message me on AIM my sn is XXXXXXXXXXX. Thank you so much!!!

XXXXX

The smelly guy on the corner I give the benefit of the doubt. Your guy can get off the computer and get a bloody job- or ask his mom.

This is the most common begging trick ever. Begging through email is just plain sad.

I wouldn't do it either. But it does make me wonder. If it is a scam, would he even bother writing the email for $5 that he probably won't get? It seems to me that a real scam would want more money than that.

I think you underestimate how desperate some people can be.

If he is sending the mail to 2000 persons and expect to get money from 10% of them it really is a decent (but not good) scam.

I would contact Paradise about it. Beggars at pokersites annoy me.
