Default EV of AQo utg

I'm kinda curious if you make more than 0.75bb with this hand from this position.

Could some people post their number of hands and bb/100 for AQo (specifically from UTG in games with 8 or more players)?

If we make more than 0.75/hand, then we want callers. If we make less, we want to take the blinds, right?

You get AQo UTG once every what, 800 hands or so? How many hands would you need to get a good EV measure here?

Closer to 1 in 100, isn't it? And, say, 500 hands of well-played poker for a decent EV measure? So, 50K hands, total?

Yeah, ok, so I've had AQo 579 times in 57,555 hands. Overall, my winrate is 0.4BB/100, but I suck. I can't figure out how to filter for just UTG hands, making me stupid, too.

Well, what are the odds of being dealt AQo? There's 52*51=2652 hole cards (counting A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] seperately) and 24 combinations of AQo, so about once per 110 hands. But we're counting just the times we're UTG, so figure once every 8 or 9 hands, so this pops up once every thousand hands. If we claim that our overall BB/100 doesn't converge until 50k or even 100k hands, I don't think we could ever get a meaningful number from this--especially given how our playstyle will evolve over those hands.

Well, in my database I have 3k hands on the button and just 1k hands UTG (in 27k hands).

I'll agree with that. I think the OP was pretty silly, but I've got nothing better to do than fiddle with PT while my kids eat supper....

Shoot, I think you have a point here.

Hmm... maybe if people told us the number of hands, then we could accumulate everyone's samples into a reasonable sample size...

Now that I think of it, that just might work.

Alright... firstly, here's the procedure for getting hte info.

go into your ring game stats in PT.

then hit the filter button

choose specific hands: AQo.

choose games between 10 and 10 players

Ghoose your position as exactly 7 off the button

(You could choose to repeat, going from 9 players to 9 players and 6 off the button... this would maybe show the EV changes as players increase on the table).

---------------

22000 hands, only 5 AQo in UTG on a 10-handed table:

20% win, bb/hand is -0.85bb

9 hand tables:

8 hands, win 62%, bb/hand: +1.44bb

8 handed:

3 hands, 33% win, -1.25bb/hand

Alright... my idea of getting a reasonable sample size was a little too optimistic, I think.
