Default You, sir, are not a fish (LC)

Villain sat down about 3 hands ago so I have no read. 1/2 6-max 4-handed, he has $200, I cover by a couple bucks.

He raises to $8 UTG, I call on the button with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], blinds fold.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($19)

Villain bets $15, I make it $50, he pushes, I call

The turn is the 3 of spades, the river is something irrelevant and my straight beats his AKo.

He types "nh" in the chat, I type "ty". No insults, no resentment, no "You stupid %$#^%, you called all-in on a draw?!?!?! OMG, Party iz r1gg3d!!11!"; he's reloaded to $200 before the river is out and I already have a quality player note. As the other two players weren't exactly donks, I fold junk UTG the next hand and go to a different table.

Why would I want to stay and play 4-handed with 3 decent players when I can sit elsewhere with donks?

My favorite part is the note that he probably just made on you.

interesting.

I would have stayed with the belief (whether false or true) that I could now outplay his single pair hands.

Curious, would you take the same line if you only had a straight draw or a flush draw?

I'm almost certain the answer is no.
