Default best books for home game player?

i've been playing NL hold 'em in a weekly home game for about a year. we play $0.50/$1.00 NL cash games or $30 freezeout tournies. i keep track of my wins/losses and since jan i'm about $700 up. i know factoring an hourly rate thats pretty weak but as long as i'm not losing i'm happy since its just for fun but of course i'd like to improve. so, what are the best books for low stakes NL hold 'em?

You might want to check out Harrington on Hold'em I&II. HoH I can apply to cash games (as early on, the stacks are deep), and HoH II can apply to tourneys.

Obviously Theory of Poker is essential.

You also might want to check out Pot limit/No limit Poker, by ciaffone and reuben. Some intresting stuff.

Posting in the SSNL forums will do you best though.

good luck.

I play tourneys and I highly recommend HOH vol. 1 (haven't read 2 yet).

As orange said, you can also apply some of it to cash games.

For NL Hold 'em I would also read McEvoy & Daugherty's NL Hold 'em book (forgive me for forgetting the title, but its a solid read for beginners). If you end up playing any limit hold 'em, make sure Small Stakes Hold 'em is part of your library - its indispensable (and I'm not just saying that because this is 2+2's site).

If you have the time, Caro's book of tells is a good one to flip through. I would put it toward the bottom of the "things to read list" but it has some good stuff for home poker players.
