Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
Check behind. Not a good river card + v two opponents. Getting c/r is bad, even tho it will be a bluff never.

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
yea those are possible, but those bet the river a lot! A pair of 8s, 2s, or A4 that picked up a pair of 4s, or ace high are also possible. As well as 22,55,66,77. Thats way more than enough to bet for value imo.

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
The J is a pretty poor card to bet against 2 opponents. The J fills straight draws for those with a 97 (yea, you've got two of the 9's, but they could have one). Or the J hits top pair for someone hanging around with overcards a gutshot, or someone holding J9.
I check behind as well with 2 players in the hand. HU I bet, but not against 2 players. |

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
yea i'm really surprised so many people like a check here, so maybe it is more marginal than I thought. I don't think so though. If there were more people I wouldn't bet.

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
I bet the river, i think the value is a bit slim but it's there. People are often calling down with hands like Ax, 33, 78s, etc. I think most players would lead if they caught the J, so I think we need to take advantage of our positioning here and value bet.

[/ QUOTE ] This isn't even close to true for your typical 3/6 opponent after you raised preflop and bet the whole way. I think a bare jack check-calls here most the time where two pairs and straights check-raise. I'd like to hear flawless's reason why the Jack is a bad card. I see the danger of an obvious straight draw pairing, but I was curious if there are any other reasons. |

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
i dont think you need to bet. we are now behind 2 cards on the board, and the straight draw came in. when those hands call us we lose. we are ahead of A high and missed flush draws but those hands dont call. the only hands that call us that we beat are lower PP. I cannot think of a UTG limp or a BB calling your raise that has a 2 or 4 in their hand. 8 yes, and T and J certainly. I think i check this behind.

Re: Making sure I\'m not a river wus in 6 max
If you do hand ranges and add up combinations for hands that will call a bet on the river, it's going to be a close decision if your opponents will only call with a pair. If your default 3/6 opponent will call with ace high here, then I think it's an easy bet.
