Post about this on a website that deals with gambling addictions.

One of the most reliable signs of an uncontrollable addiction is trying to quit, but being unable to do so. The more information you provide, the clearer the problem becomes. I urge you to consult someone qualified to deal with gambling addiction. I'm a psychologist with some knowledge of this subject, but not enough to attempt to provide that help. You need a fully qualified professional or Gamblers Anonymous.
I don't know whether it is still operative, but you used to be able to get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
I had intended to send you a PM, but decided that this message might be useful to others. If anyone suspects that he has a gambling addiction, I urge you to get help.
I love poker, but it's just a game. If it becomes your life, it will destroy you.
