Default Protect or Check?

With a flush draw on board in a 4+ person pot, and I flop a hand like TPTK, is it correct to check? Betting would give people the odds for a flush draw..

Consider that casinos sustain operability (and then make an enormous profit) by taking action on bets that are 49.5%/50.5% against the player.

Here, you get to play the casino -- you're allowing people to place a bet against you that they hit 35% of the time.

Why not?

Passive play loses pots. You may have been sucked out on before, but as long as your bet is a long term winner, you will be too.
