Default JJ Weak or Standard?

This hand just came up on TheFishTank. 3/6 NL

Hero is BB with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and $520
Villain is UTG with $805
Couple limpers and Hero raises to $24. All fold to Villain who calls.

Flop 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero leads for $45. Villain calls.

Turn K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks. Mistake??? Villain bets $115. Whats my plan?

Thanks

Once you check the turn you should fold to villians bet.

Whether or not to fire again on the turn is completely dependent on your read of the villian. Against an unknown, i like check/folding the turn.

I think you should quit poker and stick to your day job Jonathon.

Nope well played just unfortunate. Betting isnt horrible there either but i would lean towards checking with two overcards on the turn. If there were to overs on the flop i think betting it becomes more appropriate. Its marginal but i think checkiong is better considering he called you on that flop.

I ended up folding which I though was correct, he called that I had jacks and said I was beat. Thanks for the responses. Should I be worried that he read my hand?

I think that you should be worried that you failed to have a plan before you put any money into the pot. You could easily have holdings like AQs, KQs, KK, or QQ. If you aren't willing to represent these types of holdings when an overcard flops then check fold the flop. I'm not trying to suggest what your plan should have been, just that you're going to stay in trouble if you wait until 4th street to ask "whats my plan?".

well, i'm sure his plan on the flop was to bet and take the pot down. Sometimes in poker plans change.
