I am insane because I think Belak is a better defenseman than Berg.

Yes, but those are determined before the shootout. Mike Sullivan couldn't change Murray as the third shooter.

I've never understood the typical Leafs fans' adoration of Wade Belak. He contributes *nothing* offensively, and is nowhere near mobile enough to play defence in the new NHL. He's a -9 so far this season, which ties him for the lowest +/- on the team. I don't know how he manages to hang onto his job.

It all comes down to whether they can beat the Leafs in the Playoffs...and they never will.

Did you see the game on Saturday??? The Leafs are no longer the dominant team. Although I need Belfour to have a fantastic year because he's on my fantasy team.

BAAAHHH!!

Ugly contest for the Bruins. Getting outplayed on both sides of the ice again. This was the type of game I really don't much enjoy watching. Congrats to the Isles.

I know. My argument is that Murray shouldn't be scheduled as the third shooter, that we should start w/ Samsomov, Thornton, and Bergeron. No matter. We're about to go on a win streak that won't involve many shootouts.

Or not. I don't know what to think about this team right now.

Belak is now a forward. Which is where he should have been all along... even if I did think it was a good move to have him play D. I was very wrong there. He's a good checker, and he can shut down big guys on the other team. Not fast guys, big ones. He has a place on the team, playing 6 or 7 minutes a night, fourth line.

Because of one bad game? Did you see the other 2 games they played? Very close, the Leafs blew the lead in the third on a couple bad plays.

Besides, the past few years, Ottawa has owned the Leafs from October through March. Ottawa should have been able to beat the Leafs in the playoffs, and they should be able to this year. We'll just have to see what happens in the games that matter.
