And it was me who used it. Villain seems pretty solid. I was hoping for a turn 3-bet and whenever I hope for something it means I'm playing poorly. Cold call the turn or just raise more, or is that just style? Easy river call? He insta pushed.

i call the river pretty quick. And yes, raise more on the turn. You gotta get the money in there somehow, and you wont get any action if you just call and the river comes a club.

This is not an easy river call, it's a borderline easy river fold.

Raise the flop. If he's got a flush or set, he may go with you. He's either ready to go on flop or not. He cant 'catch up' except to beat you with a boat when you let his set in cheap.

I agree. River is easy fold. Your play before the river is "gay" to say the least. You announced everybody that you have a monster and now you allow them to cheaply draw to their fh. If I paid off to made fh after that show I would never look in the mirror again.
Almost alwyas the best approach is to pump it on the flop. If its flush over flush you stack anyway. If you are against set your chances of getting it allin are high too. If set just call you will charge again on the turn. Additionally you will sometimes catch some wild semibluffs with naked K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. And finally this play mix nicely with your semibluffs which are very profitable if you play aggro.
