I would have taken the lead on the turn, or check-raised if you had a read and knew that he never checks top pair on the flop. On the river the only hand that he will call you with that loses is probably K10, if he even plays that hand. So on the river you will be called by a hand that beats you 90% of the time.

CO posted preflop. I think this is a good line to take, because the odds that he checks behind with any A on that flop is pretty rare. He could be beating the turn with any K, really, after getting checked to him twice in a row.

He could be bluffing the turn after getting checked to him twice too. It's very reasonable to assume everyone will fold if there's been no action to this point.

I'd have bet out the turn. Barring that, if you're going to bet the river, you might as well checkraise the turn.

I wanted to see if any action developed on the turn. Once it's heads up on the river I decided to bet.
