There was a near-fight at 5 a.m. at the game that I visited last- with all of the alcohol involved, good thing there were no weapons...

Yeah, I wasnt at this one, but I was at a bar tourney where one guy threw his chips at a girl. I missed what started all the yelling, but lucky me, they moved me to the table right as it happened.

Maybe we should start a thread for the best poker room brawls.

Like I said, I dont know what happened, I was just moved into the center of it. The two (definately not a couple) were at odds before I got there. Then the girl won an all in against the guy and was being a real b**** about him paying her. He wanted her to tell her how much he owed and she wanted to stack up equal chips by color. Finally he did it her way since she wouldnt give him a price. Once he matched the first stack he knocked them over. They yelled/jawed/insulted some more (I think he gave her a real sarcastic "doll face") Then he threw a hand full of chips at her and was taken outside.

Oh yeah, This was a free bar tournament. Winner got a gift certificate

No more interesting than if he were stabbed, or beaten. This kind of thing happens all the time, over the stupidest stuff: women, sports, politics, religion. Usually, it's alcohol-fueled. What's your point?

That reminds me of the Three's Company episode where Jack was all excited about winning at a casino party (didn't know it wasn't real money), was up thousands and then they gave him a dinky trophy. Now I understand some casinos that don't allow drinking...
