questions:

preflop, is this an automatic call given 5 to 1 odds?

on the flop, i bet out really hoping to take it down. i thought i might have the best hand, and if i didn't, i had a gut shot 9, another 10 and (maybe) a jack would make me the winner, since it would be hard to put the flop raiser on a 9 if the jack did fall. i knew if i got raised big i was going to fold, but the raise was only the minimum and a call seemed automatic to me with my hand at that point.

what do you think? room for improvement?

PF is fine. On the flop I think I check. With the pf raiser to act next, chances are he will cont bet. Then you can see what kanetzeo does, and decide on your action from there.

Check the flop, if the action is C-bet and a fold by kanetzeo, I C/R, putting the PF raiser all-in.

Same here, and if kanetzeo raises, I seriously consider folding, depending on reads of him of course.

I think that's really, really dangerous. There's alotof hands that he could have that beat you, and hes calling your push with any hand that beats you. hes also calling with a flush draw and might call with a straight draw which doesn't make you any sort of a huge favorite. this play you reccommend is highly unsound, as you are putting way to much at risk with too little information.

He only has 600. What is your other plan? Bet and fold to a raise from him?

If he cont bets this pot, it's likely to be all-in anyway, and if it's not, he's going to have to call because of pot odds. You should ALWAYS keep track of other people's stack sizes. Seems you missed his here, which is a vital piece of the jigsaw

The key piece of information would be that the guy that can hurt you (kanetzeo) would have folded. After C-betting, the PF raiser would be down to around 300 chips or so and you are recommending folding TP + a gutshot. If you are afraid to go against the PF raiser with this hand, then you should be folding PF. You are most likely ahead in the hand, if not, you have plenty of outs.
