I understand that Hero covers villain by a good amount. But, I'm curious as to OP's reason for pushing here.

Me too, I always make a normal bet, relative to pot size. Is that what you do as well?

I'd have played the entire hand differently, but on this river as OP played it, I'd bet just over half of villain's remaining stack and hope for a call or push.
