Fastplaying is hot these days. It's like slowplaying, but better. Bet. Bet. Bet. Put money in the middle on the flop so that you can build a pot. Any K calls you. Maybe even an 8 calls you. Maybe someone has 79 or 74 and they might call you. Maybe someone will raise you. Who knows what'll happen. But just bet it.

there are 4 people in the hand with you. someone is calling a flop bet and more likely several people are. you need to bet so that crappy straight draws call incorrectly/fold and all pairs/2 pair call or raise. bet and play for a big pot for all the reasons listed by aj.

Like others said, your concern here isn't building a pot on the river...it's building a pot period.

You can't wait for people at these levels to get something and play it hard, you have to catch it yourself and hope some idiot caught a piece they're willing to play.

Betting at some point before the river may help you maximize value. You may as well push the river hoping for a call from a naked 9.

Others have said it already, but when you bet a pot sized bet into this board others will read you for TP or midpair or a straight dr. Very few players will read you for a set.

If someone bet into you with that board, what would you read them for, in general you wouldnt read them for a set.

So bet the pot and see what happens.
