200 nl, turned set
Ive been playing for only about a yr so any advise is welcome.
2/5 LIVE, 9 handed Note: UTG+1 just got to table about 2 orbits ago, no read, stack about 200. I have about 60. Folded to UTG+1 who limps, MP1 limps, Hero limps in CO (KQo), BB knocks Flop ($22): 2h 7h Qh UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, I bet 20, BB folds, UTG+1 thinks and calls, MP1 folds. Turn ($62): Qc UTG+1 puts me all in, Hero..... Im about 80% sure he has the flush. Can I get away from this? Am I forced to call my remaining 35, getting 3:1? Any comments appreciated. |

Re: 200 nl, turned set
You're ridiculously shortstacked. No, you can't get away from this.

Re: 200 nl, turned set
if you are actually 80% sure he has flush, this is still probably not a fold, given redraw odds. I call here.
btw, you have turned "trips", not turned "set". Set means pocket pair hits card on board, trips means one hole card matches board pair. |

Re: 200 nl, turned set
Please call, then when you lose to his flush after to failing to boat up on the river, please buy in for a useful amount. You started the hand with 12BBs?!? What is that about?
Part of my point here was that so extremely short stacked, limping with a mediocre hand is just asking to lose your stack, either this hand or another one very soon. |

Re: 200 nl, turned set
The reason I was in the hand with only 12BB's is that I came into the game with 200 and that was it. The casino is in a college town where I pay my way thru college and I just cant afford to peel 200 after 200 out of my pocket.
I was asking advise on the hand only, obviously if I had a larger bankroll it would be a different story. BTW, he had the flush and I didnt hit one of my 10 outs... |

Re: 200 nl, turned set
If you only have one buy-in I would suggest not playing poker at that limit. Go play with your buddies for 10 bucks. Playing that short you will just give away your money through weak tight play or you will get out-draw once and that's the end.
