Default Costa Rica

Some question's about poker in Costa Rica:

1) What casino's in (or near) San Jose offer poker (and what games/tourneys) ?
2) Legal gambling age: 18+/21+??
3) How's the action?

Thanks.

Casino Europa in the Radisson offers a NL game which is really quite bad - it equates to $20-25 max buyin with a 10% unlimited rake based on the local currencies. I guess they have 5-10 there as well, but it doesn't run much. They are famous for their unlimited rebuy tournaments (2x first level, 3x second level, 4x third level, 10x addon, etc), which probably take tons of juice.

I recommend playing at the Horseshoe in downtown San Jose. It's a small place, but they typically run 1-2 $200 min $500 max NL with a $5 rake cap. It's run by an American expatriate, so it's on the up-and-up. Oh, and it's right across from the Blue Marlin Bar... if that's your thing.

Forgot to address your other points:

Legal gambling age is probably 18, I think. Never got ID'd there, but I do look 25 or so (I'm 22).

The action is ridiculous/crazy. Be forewarned.
