33 in Party 3/6 with a maniac (HUGE pot)

Party 3/6, MP is a maniac, raises any two until capped through the turn, will only raise the river with 2 pair or better. I'm on the button.

Anyone afraid of a set of 9's or queens here? I figured my hand was good because everyone knew who the maniac was, and what he was doing. I was isolating him alot, and the table was trying to do the same. Queens or nines would have been the ones to cap on the flop and on the turn is my thought.

As to the Pre flop call, I figured I had my 5 callers (MP, 2 cold callers in between and figured at least one of the UTG or blinds would call) and that my implied odds if I hit my set were through the roof with the maciac, opinions?

Any guess as to what BB had. Results to follow.

Looks like SOP to me. Fearing 99 or QQ would just be silly here, but i think you know that.

Note that my guess for BB's hand is based in part on the woe-is-me tone of the post. Otherwise I wouldn't be particularly worried about it.

I actually had the BB on the flush draw and the maniac on the queen, but when the maniac folded the river and the BB just called I felt good, even though my reads were wrong.

Just as a final note, QQ wouldn't have just called the river. I dont think top set would fear runner runner gut-shot straight.

99 would be the *only* hand I would fear if I were in your position and even then, I wouldn't fear it much.

I in now way feared QQ or 99 after the call. I was just wondering if anyone slowed down on the flop or on the turn in fear of QQ or 99.
