Default why poker and excessive alcohol don\'t mix....

A few hours ago, I was slightly enebriated. Unfortunately, I sat down in front of my computer and started playing poker. I had a ridiculously successful session (maybe everyone else was drunk too?) and ended up +40BB in about 60 hands. Here's an example of why I shouldn't play poker drunk.

Ultimate Bet 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $0.25.
Hero calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

I was playing a little loose. Can you tell? Table was filled with maniacs anyway, I think I need to play the graveyard shift on Saturdays more often.

Flop: (5 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB folds, UTG folds, Hero calls, Button calls.

Flat out don't even NOTICE I've flopped a straight. I thought I saw an OESD and a flush draw, so I hit call, and immediately noticed that the straight draw I had was for a 7 or a K. Wait, that means I have a straight. Doh.

Turn: (4 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB raises, Hero calls, Button calls.

Okay, here I was thinking my straight was counterfeited, and I should have bet out, but I didn't. I was drunk, okay? Still no flush.

River: (10 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 16 BB

Woo! My flush came! But I was worried about the boat when the queens paired.

Wait a minute... All I saw was the suit, I didn't even notice the rank...

By the time I realized what I'd done, it was too late. I'd already clicked call.

I'm absolutely heartbroken. I'm gonna go cry into my pillow.

Results in red below:
Hero shows Td 8d (straight flush (!!!), queen high).
Button shows 8s Qs (full house, queens full of eights).
SB shows 9h Js (two pair, queens and jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins 16 BB.
