Default NL1000: Turn/river

As is often the case, I see a few fish playing the 5/10 at skins and decide to hop in. Villain is 35/15 over 50 hands. Normally makes it $30 PF. The only hand I've seen him showdown, he flopped a straight in the BB, minbet the flop then min-3bet when he was raised. So basically a bit of a donk.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG ($1483.50)
MP ($500)
Hero ($1050)
SB ($990)
BB ($1647.06)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. MP posts a blind of $10. SB posts a blind of $5.
UTG raises to $40, 1 fold, Hero calls $40, 2 folds.

Flop: ($105) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($105) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $70, UTG raises to $200, Hero calls $130.

River: ($505) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $505

Bet the flop here? Fold turn? Bet river? By that point I figure villain is obviously either bluffing or slowplaying the [censored] out of something.

well, youre pretty much always winning on the river. The question is will he call a bet with KK or any other hands you beat.

I like your line.

I almost always check behind when my kicker sucks like that.

Hard to fold the turn with the pot odds he gave you.... gotta know his mini raise = mega strength. Flush draw just came in, so semi-bluff is definately possible.

On the river, I don't see a value bet here, unless villian will call you with absolute crap.

I would bet river, since his check is pretty much telling you he doesn't have an ace, I doubt his check means hes worried about his kicker. I would make small river bet to try and induce call from possibly KK or a Q.

from what you describe he doesn't sound like anyone who check raises the river. looks like he just wants it cheap. i might think a while then bet half pot.

I think leading the flop and checking the turn is better play than the other way around. Cause checking the flop after preflop raise on AAQ is too suscpicious and betting and checking mix nicely with hands which you cont bet with and now giving up.

Best wishes
